Today the two first micro fuel cell-based combined heat and power (FC-CHP) units have been officially installed in Germany (Homburg and Munich) by the ene.field project partners BAXI INNOTECH GmbH and Elcore GmbH.
These units are the firsts of around 1,000 micro FC-CHP units that will be installed throughout the project period. They will be actively monitored in dwellings across a range of European countries. The outcome will provide the project team with a valuable, practical and up-to-date dataset on domestic energy consumption and micro-CHP applicability across Europe.
